After months of speculation, teasers and draft announcements, the schedule for the Global Poker League has finally been released. 312n5m
The season kicks off April 5 at 12:00 eastern time when six of the teams will be facing off in the start of the GPL Regular Season.
The Hong Kong Stars, Moscow Wolverines, Berlin Bears, Paris Aviators, Rome Emperors and London Royals are first up, and all the coverage will be live streamed on GPL.TV channel on Twitch.
Brit Sam Grafton and Canadian Griffin Flush_Entity’ Benger will be talking you through it all as they become the faces of the GPL’s live stream.
How the Season Will Shape Up 829i
The regular season features matches every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through September 16. In all, there will be 400+ hours of livestreamed GPL coverage.
The GPL will also host a special Summer Series that will take place in Las Vegas during the World Series of Poker. From June 6 through July 8, the GPL Summer Series will feature 33 days of Heads-Up battles filmed live on location in GPL’s Las Vegas Studio.
Dates for the GPL Playoffs have not yet been announced, but the Finals will take place November 22 – 23 in London at The SSE Arena, Wembley.
Tickets for the first ever Global Poker League Championship go on sale in May.
Keeping Up With The Action 5n156p
As well as matches being live streamed on GPL.TV and Twitch, you will be able to keep up with the action on outlets such as USA Today Sports, DouyuTV in China and Poker Central.
In an exciting move, it was announced that PokerStars.tv will be distributing all GPL broadcasts which will further increase the reach of the league to the millions of viewers who subscribe to their channel.
This is another great win for the man behind the GPL, Alex Dreyfus.
